Living Finishes are unlacquered and showcase characteristics that allow the product to gracefully evolve over time to form a unique, timeless patina; intended to result in showing off the natural beauty & charm of the underlying brass.

Care & Maintenance of Living Finishes

It is important to note that the exact appearance & rate of patina development can vary depending on factors such as climate, usage & maintenance of the product.

For regular maintenance, we recommend cleaning with a soft, dry cloth without the use of any cleaning abrasives. To help enhance the beauty of the product, the occasional application of beeswax can be applied.

LACQUERED FINISHES

Contrary to our Living Finishes are our equally luxurious Lacquered Finishes. These products have a clear "lacquer" applied to the product to act as a protective barrier between the surface of the product & the surrounding environment. This added process prevents the finish from changing in appearance over time & keeps the original aesthetic for an extended period.

Henry Blake's lacquered finishes include: Polished Brass Lacquered, Dark Bronze Lacquered, Medium Bronze Lacquered, and Graphite Lacquered

Care & Maintenance of Lacquered Finishes

We recommend to clean our lacquered finished products by gently wiping with damp cloth & mild soapy water. To further enhance the appearance, a good quality wax polish should be subsequently applied.

PLATED FINISHES

Plated Finishes are our most durable type of finish, often achieving a minimalist appeal through the use of silvery tones in Chrome & Nickel.

Care & Maintenance of Plated Finishes

To maintain Plated products, we recommend gently cleaning with a damp cloth & mild soapy water. Avoid the use of cleaning abrasives

Any product found to be defective in material or workmanship within 12 months of purchase will be replaced free of charge by the company. Claims for faulty goods must be made in writing to the company and all faulty goods be made available for return to the company premises for inspection. Should the company decide to accept liability for defective product, the company will agree to pay reasonable carriage costs.

The company will not accept responsibility for any product claim where upon after inspection of returned goods, the company decides that wrongful installation of product is apparent.

This guarantee does not extend to our Living or Lacquered finishes due the varying degree in which time, touch, climate, and exposure to the elements will affect this ongoing aging process.
