California Prop 65 Warning

California Prop 65 is a law stating that companies must disclose if their product or location contains potentially harmful substances. The list of chemicals covered by Prop 65 includes over a thousand substances such as aloe vera and aspirin. It's important to note that not all substances on the list are equally dangerous and the warnings are issued even if the exposure level is significantly lower than what might actually cause harm. Most of our products are labeled with a prop 65 warning for containing nickel, the same substance found in your pocket change or car keys.

The general Proposition 65 notice is as follows:

WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including nickel, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go towww.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

Proposition 65 notice for wood products is as follows:

WARNING: Drilling, sawing, sanding or machining wood products generates wood dust, a substance known to the State of California to cause cancer. Use a respirator or other safeguards to avoid inhaling wood dust. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/wood.
